This product is part of the Subaru Outback 5th and 6th gen. (2015-2025) Drawer System and will only work with one or two of the 7" Storage Drawers (sold separately). Want to sleep comfortably in your Outbackk? With this kit and two 7” Storage Drawers, you can transform the back of your Forester into a comfortable ~5’11” long double bed sleeping platform (6’3"+ with front seats moved forward) that sleeps two quite comfortably. Simply fold down the back seats, set the two boxes in place, and add the sleeping deck panels and boxes. Put a mattress on top and you'll have a relatively luxurious sleeping experience in the back of your rig. There is also a configuration to sleep one person on either side of the car too, with one or two drawers, using the 60/40 back seat folding feature of the Outback.
It is crafted from premium 9-ply 12mm (1/2”) birch plywood. We've also made the Bed configurable to a single bed, allowing you to still use either one of your 60/40 split back seats. The platform consists of two machined parts that nest together like a puzzle, splitting at the same place as the rear seats to create a single bed on either side. Fold down the driver’s-side back seat or the wider passenger side seat to create the space you need. When not in use, the parts are small enough to stow in the back.
The boxes that come with the Sleeping Deck are also thoughtfully designed. They are just the right height to compensate for the uneven height of your rig. They also are perfect for concealed storage under the platform. Nest them when not in use.
