This product simply levels out the back of your 4Runner (5th Gen.). With this stand alone kit you can transform the back of your 4Runner into a comfortable 5’9” long double bed sleeping platform (6’6” with a pillow on the folded back seats). Simply fold down the back seats, set the two boxes in place, and add the sleeping deck panels. Put an air mattress or sleeping pad on top and you'll have a relatively luxurious sleeping experience in the back of your truck. If you’re tall, you can even remove the bench part of your back seats and you’ll have 6’6” clear.
This kit is crafted from premium 9-ply 12mm (1/2”) birch plywood. We've also made the Bed configurable to a single bed, allowing you to still use the smaller of your 60/40 split back seats. The platform consists of two machined parts that nest together like a puzzle, splitting in the middle. When not in use, the parts are small enough to stow in the back with the back seats up.
The boxes that come with this sleeping are also thoughtfully designed. They are just the right height to compensate for the uneven height of your rig. They also are perfect for concealed storage under the platform. Nest them one inside the other when not in use.
